Limited edition of 80 pieces
Richard Mille has unveiled the RM 032 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Ultimate Edition, a watch built to master the ocean’s depths. As the final chapter in the RM 032 collection, this timepiece brings together the brand’s signature style, impressive technical capabilities, and unmatched durability.
Since the collection’s debut in 2011, Richard Mille has embraced the underwater world, and this model continues that legacy. It’s even been seen on the wrist of free-diving champion Arnaud Jerald, an eight-time world record holder, accompanying him on his deep-sea adventures.
The RM 032 Ultimate Edition is designed with underwater specialists in mind, focusing on safety and readability. It features hours, minutes, seconds, a 12-hour totaliser, and a flyback chronograph, plus an annual calendar with an oversized date at 12 o’clock and a month indicator between 4 and 5 o’clock. The date’s digits, crafted from DLC titanium discs, are laser-cut in a stencil style for a crisp, bold display. A running indicator at 3 o’clock, with a luminous Super-LumiNova® disc that rotates every 30 seconds, lets divers quickly check that the watch is functioning—even in low-light or high-pressure conditions.
At the heart of the watch is the RMAC2 calibre, built with PVD-treated grade 5 titanium for its baseplate and bridges. A variable geometry rotor drives its twin barrels, offering an impressive 50-hour power reserve. This powerhouse movement is housed in a robust case measuring 50.00 x 17.80 mm, designed to handle water depths of up to 300 metres. The unidirectional bezel adds an extra layer of safety, while the case itself achieves a perfect balance of strength and wearability, thanks to lightweight materials like grade 5 titanium and Carbon TPT®. The bezel combines satin-finished titanium with polished edges and microblasted DLC accents, secured by distinctive eight-point-star screws.
Richard Mille has also solved a common issue for underwater watches—water pressure accidentally activating the pushers. Their patented locking crown system immobilizes the functions with a simple twist of a ring, indicated by green when unlocked and red when locked. This system not only protects the watch’s functions but also ensures optimal water resistance, even in extreme conditions.
More than just a tool for the ocean, the RM 032 Ultimate Edition is a feat of engineering and design. Limited to just 80 pieces, this watch combines cutting-edge performance with the sophistication and craftsmanship Richard Mille is known for. It’s a fitting finale to a collection that has truly conquered the underwater world.
