The RM 41-01 Tourbillon Soccer transforms a football match into a fully mechanical experience, pushing Richard Mille’s high-complication philosophy into new territory. Developed over five years, the watch is built around a brand-new patented tourbillon flyback chronograph calibre designed to follow a game from kick-off to final whistle. It introduces two original complications: a match-phase indicator and mechanical goal counters, combining sport-specific utility with elite watchmaking. Produced in two versions and limited to 30 pieces, it stands among the brand’s most complex and purpose-driven creations.
At its core is a highly skeletonised titanium movement created with Audemars Piguet Le Locle, packing around 650 components and delivering a 70-hour power reserve. The flyback chronograph uses a double column-wheel architecture for smoother control and consistent pusher feel. The match-phase display advances through first half, second half, and both overtime periods with each reset. On the opposite side, dual goal counters track scores for each team via dedicated pushers, recording up to nine goals before automatically returning to zero. The openworked structure prioritises strength, weight reduction, and legibility, while extensive hand-finishing highlights every visible surface.
The tonneau-shaped case reflects the same technical intensity. Offered in Basalt TPT®, Carbon TPT®, and Quartz TPT® combinations, it delivers high resistance to shock, UV, corrosion, and temperature change. Basalt TPT® adds a distinctive layered grain and deep tone. Ergonomic pushers, titanium details, and gold guards reinforce durability and tactile precision. Nearly 800 total components and extreme shock testing underline a singular goal: a no-compromise mechanical instrument built for the rhythm and drama of the game.
