Orbiting satellites

The Urwerk UR100 features the brands orbiting satellites for the hours and minutes with a new twist – instead of the red-arrow-tipped pointers on the hour satellites disappearing after 60 minutes when replaced the next, the UR100 minute arrow passes beneath and between the subsidiary dials, reappearing to display two intriguing new astronomical indications.

The distance and rotation of the Earth

The first indicator shows the distance in kilometers that we have traveled on Earth (without even leaving our desks!). It is based on the average speed of the rotation of the Earth on its axis at the equator, covering a distance of 555km every 20 minutes.

Orbiting around the sun

The second indication is the distance traveled by the Earth in its orbit around the sun, a journey spanning 34,740 km every 20 minutes.

The caliber 12.01

The timepiece is powered by the brand’s Caliber 12.01 with base plates in ARCAP and a power reserve of 48 hours.

Black PVD and stainless steel

The UR100 comes in a choice of black PVD-coated titanium or stainless steel with a width of 41mm, a length of 49.7mm and a thickness of 14mm.
