Favre Leuba brings back one of its most distinctive designs with the Harpoon Revival, launched at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 to mark 60 years since the original. This reissue keeps things refreshingly authentic, sticking closely to the 1966 proportions with a compact 36.8 mm stainless steel case and a slim 10 mm profile that wears effortlessly on the wrist. The polished finish, simple steel bezel, and signed crown with the hourglass logo all echo the vintage model, while the engraved caseback quietly nods to the past with its retro-style detailing. It’s a clean, no-nonsense throwback that feels just right for today.
The dial is where the Harpoon really shows its personality. Finished in a soft grey with a sunray effect, it catches the light without being flashy. The hour markers follow the original layout, including the slightly unusual horizontal positioning at 12, 6, and 9 o’clock, an understated detail that gives the watch its character. The “Harpoon” name at six o’clock sticks to the original font, while a neatly framed date window at three keeps things practical. Add in luminous hands, and you’ve got a dial that’s easy to read in any situation, from bright days to low light.
Inside, things are thoroughly modern. The automatic FLD04 movement offers a strong 68-hour power reserve and smooth performance, making it reliable enough for everyday use. Paired with a black leather strap featuring an easy quick-change system, it’s as versatile as it is comfortable. With 5 ATM water resistance the Harpoon Revival strikes a smart balance respecting its history without feeling stuck in it.
