With the Atmos Régulateur Enamel Colibris, Jaeger-LeCoultre turns its legendary “clock that runs on air” into a poetic work of art. Housed in a transparent glass cabinet, the Atmos Calibre 582 reveals its hypnotic, near-perpetual mechanism, powered by tiny temperature variations, while framing a richly decorated enamel scene. Presented during Milan Design Week 2026, this ultra-limited clock combines technical ingenuity with artistic mastery, continuing a tradition that dates back to the 1930s.
The regulator-style display, with separated hours and minutes, reinforces the clock’s precision-driven identity. At its heart, Calibre 582 delivers exceptional performance, including a moon-phase complication accurate to 3,821 years. The open architecture, defined by concentric circles and suspended elements, creates a dynamic sense of depth, further enhanced by the slow, almost meditative oscillation of the balance wheel. It’s mechanical minimalism elevated to horological theatre.
What truly sets this edition apart is its breathtaking Grand Feu enamel decoration. Limited to just three pieces, each clock features hummingbirds, cherry blossoms and hydrangeas, miniature-painted across dial and panels. The process demanded 45 individual firings at over 800°C, with constant risk of failure at every stage. From layered green backgrounds to delicate gold leaf paillonné details, the 230-hour decoration is a showcase of rare Métiers Rares™ expertise. The result is fluid, luminous and alive, where time doesn’t just pass, it blooms.
