Oris introduces the new Aquis Chronograph, following closely on the heels of the Aquis Date collection. This timepiece features a distinctive ‘smiley face’ design with sub-dials positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Like its predecessor, the Aquis Chronograph is made with the same attention to detail, focusing on ergonomic, aesthetic, and performance enhancements. The case and bezel have been slimmed down for a lighter profile, the bracelet now tapers more elegantly, and the dial has been redesigned to improve legibility. Despite these updates, the chronograph maintains the iconic Aquis silhouette and its reputation as a high-performance tool watch. Key features, such as the screw-down crown with protective guards, a uni-directional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert, lumed markers, a transparent case back, and 30-bar (300-meter) water resistance, are all still present.
Inside, the watch is powered by the Swiss Made Oris Calibre 771 automatic movement, which includes a stop-second function for precise time-setting and offers a 62-hour power reserve. The gradient blue dial adds a touch of sophistication, reminiscent of sunlight filtering through water. All these details come together to create a modern, versatile mechanical watch designed to be a reliable companion for the contemporary global citizen—whether day or night, rain or shine.
