Perrelet reinvents its Turbine collection once again, this time with French artist seconde/seconde/. Known for his witty deconstructions, the artist transforms Perrelet’s signature spinning turbine into an industrial hazard warning. The traditional central seconds hand is replaced by a bright yellow “Keep Hands Clear” sign, while the dial humorously proclaims “1777 days since last injury,” referencing Perrelet’s founding year. An engraved case back completes the joke: “I sincerely love art. But it will always come second. Safety first.”
The watch embraces a monochromatic, all-black look, allowing seconde/seconde/’s design elements to stand out. The 41mm black DLC-coated Grade 2 titanium case is lightweight and scratch-resistant, featuring a polished bezel and vertically grooved satin-brushed case band. Water-resistant to 10 ATM, it’s as practical as it is playful. The dial’s 12 black anodized aluminum turbine blades rotate freely with wrist movement, while Super-LumiNova® ensures optimal readability of the hour markers and hands.
Inside beats the P-331-MH calibre, a COSC-certified self-winding movement with a 42-hour power reserve and a 4 Hz frequency. Produced by Soprod, the movement is also Chronofiable®-certified for durability. Exquisite finishing includes a colimaçonné main plate, circular-grained bridges, and a rhodium-plated oscillating weight with Perrelet’s emblem. A black rubber strap with a pin buckle keeps the design sleek and modern.
Limited to just 25 pieces, the Turbine Perrelet x seconde/seconde/ arrives in a specially designed presentation box with a certificate of authenticity.
