Perrelet launched an exclusive new creation, the Turbine “¡Viva México, cabrones!” at the SIAR Summer Experience 2024. This 50-piece limited edition watch celebrates Mexico’s independence with a patriotic spirit.
Perrelet has a history of honoring Mexican symbols and traditions, with previous models like the Turbine Mexico (2020), Turbine Mexican Flag and Turbine Mexican Skull (2022), and the Turbine Carbon Mexico (2023). This new edition continues the tradition, featuring a dial animated by the iconic Turbine and displaying Mexico’s tricolor with the eagle emblem and the inscription “¡Viva México, cabrones!”.
This phrase, rooted in Mexican culture, originates from the Mexican Revolution and was famously said by Pancho Villa. The national colors and the coat of arms, depicting an eagle holding a snake, represent the founding of Tenochtitlan, now Mexico City.
The Turbine “¡Viva México, cabrones!” features Perrelet’s unique turbine technology, patented in 2009, which comprises 12 blades rotating around a central axis, creating a stunning visual effect. The 41mm case is made from black DLC-treated grade 2 titanium, with luminescent white delta hands and red-framed hour markers. It has a sapphire crystal glass and a green rubber strap with a black DLC titanium pin buckle.
Powered by the in-house P-331-MH calibre, the watch has a 42-hour power reserve, 25 jewels, and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It is double certified by COSC and Chronofiable® for reliability and precision.
