Raketa watches date back to 1961 and is named after the Russian word for “Rocket” in honor of Yuri Gagarin’s historic spaceflight. Known for producing all their mechanical parts in-house, including hairsprings and escapements, Raketa gained prominence in the 1970s as one of the world’s largest watchmakers, creating iconic models like the “Big Zero.” Inspired by heroic personalities and incredible achievements, each Raketa watch tells a story of tradition and innovation. After challenges following the Soviet Union’s collapse, the brand was revitalized in 2010 by British entrepreneur David Henderson-Stewart.
