Zenith introduces its most exclusive G.F.J. yet at Watches and Wonders 2026, with a limited edition of just 20 pieces. Named after founder Georges Favre-Jacot, the G.F.J. collection continues to showcase the legendary Calibre 135. This version takes things further with a bold choice of tantalum for the case, paired with baguette cut diamond indexes. Known for its density, durability, and subtle blue grey tone, tantalum is rarely used at this level due to the complexity of working with it. Here, it adds a distinctive presence that feels both modern and understated, reinforcing the G.F.J. as a platform for precision and high end craftsmanship.

The 39.5mm case keeps the signature lines of the collection, including the stepped bezel and sculpted lugs, but the use of tantalum gives it a more compact and weighty feel on the wrist. The dial follows a clean and balanced approach, featuring a deep black onyx centre that catches the light with a smooth, almost liquid effect. A grey mother of pearl small seconds display at 6 o’clock adds subtle contrast, while the outer guilloché ring, inspired by Zenith’s manufacture in Le Locle, frames the design. Eleven baguette cut diamond hour markers bring sharp definition without overpowering the overall look, working seamlessly with the slim white gold hands for a refined and controlled aesthetic.

Inside, the Calibre 135 continues to deliver the performance that built Zenith’s reputation in observatory chronometry, including record setting results at the Neuchâtel Observatory. Updated for modern standards, it offers a 72 hour power reserve, precise regulation, and COSC certified accuracy of plus or minus two seconds per day. Through the sapphire caseback, the movement reveals traditional finishing with a darker, contemporary tone that mirrors the tantalum case. Limited to just 20 pieces, this G.F.J. stands as a rare and highly focused expression of precision watchmaking.
